$24bn crude scam: Reps vow to sanction indicted firms

The House of Representatives ad hoc committee investigating the controversial crude oil swap contracts of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation said its report would not spare persons or firms with cases to answer.

The controversial crude swap deals ran from 2010 to 2014, during which the NNPC exchanged parts of its daily 445,000 barrels of crude for refined petroleum products.

Major crude oil traders –Tranfigura and Duke Oil – were contracted by the oil corporation for the swap transactions.
