Anti-Graft Commission Recovers 40 Stolen Government Vehicles

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Committee (ICPC) recovered 40 stolen government vehicles from certain government officials, who will be arraigned by the anti-graft commission over the theft, Channels TV reports.

The ICPC announced the recovery of the vehicles at a press conference in Abuja.

The vehicles were recovered from the Water Resource Ministry, the ICPC said. According to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Water Resources, Rabi Jimeta, the government officials who stole the vehicles were from a "particular cadre" of the civil service.

The ICPC aims to set an example by prosecuting the offending civil servants, which will deter others from stealing government property.Click here for more detail
