The Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, on Wednesday urged leaders in Africa to reform political processes to strengthen democracy and ensure the economic transformation of the continent.
He said there was the need to fully engage the electorate in the democratic process to bring about good leadership, credibility and transparency.
Ambode, who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Dr Idiat Adebule, made the remarks in Lagos at the second African Political Summit with the theme, ‘Democracy and Political Consultancy’, organised by the Association of Political Consultants in Africa (APCA).
