A former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Adeyemi Ikuforiji, has stated the country is not moving onward because Nigerians like corrupt leaders to straightforward ones.
Ikuforiji, that was Speaker for Ten Years prior to he was jailed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over supposed money laundry fees, lamented that he had been “unduly as well as unnecessarily” maltreated by the firm.
He spoke on Wednesday at an event organised by the Centre for Anti-Corruption and Open Leadership in Ikeja, Lagos State.
