It is unnecessary to have a presidential panel. That panel headed by the Vice- President is sheer waste of time. There may also be no need for any independent panel to look into this.
This is because we already have an Independent Corrupt Practices Commission that can take care of the alleged crimes committed by the SGF and the DG of NIA.
The Senate has come up with a report which indicted the SGF and he has not successfully defended himself.
As a matter of fact, he parried questions when it came to the involvement of his company in the contracts awarded. What we need to do is to pass the report of the senate to the ICPC for further action.
This is a case of official corruption, conflicts of interest, inflation of contracts and other allegations relating to the ICPC.
