The House of Representatives said on Monday it was unimpressed by the slow response by Ministries, Departments and Agencies of the Federal Government to the defence of the 2018 budget before its committees.
It called for “improved cooperation” by the MDAs to speed up the defence and the early passage of the budget by the House.
Meanwhile, lawmakers reconvene plenary on Tuesday after the Christmas and New Year break.
Investigations by The PUNCH indicated on Monday that the standing committees of the House had earlier resumed on January 8 to conduct oversight on the 2017 budget and hold defence sessions on the 2018 budget.
