Civil society organisations; a Tiv group; Jukun youths, and the pan-Yoruba group, Afenifere, have condemned security agencies and the Federal Government over their seeming inaction on the impending attack by herdsmen in Taraba State.
The state governor, Darius Ishaku, had told a Peoples Democratic Party delegation on Thursday that there were plans to attack the state in the next 10 days. He said that he had informed security agencies about the imminent attack.
The Campaign for Democracy and the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights lambasted the security agencies for their inaction, despite the alarm raised by the governor.
