The 36 state governors have moved against the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation for allegedly falsifying some figures.
They accused the national oil company of allegedly forging the figure of daily petrol consumption in the country.
They also faulted the fuel subsidy figure being released by the firm.
The Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum, Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari, led a delegation of other state governors to register their protest with Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Wednesday.
