A non-governmental organisation that advocates transparency in governance, BudgIT, has called on the Ministry of Power, Works and Housing to declare details of the funds it had expended on capital projects as contained in the 2016 budget.
BudgIT, in a statement on Monday, stated that the statement attributed to the public relations office of the ministry that no contract had been awarded based on the 2016 budget was contrary to the report that the Accountant General of the Federation had released N170,425,193,940 to the ministry.
It demanded that the ministry should give an account of the projects it was currently working on, their actual costs, names of the contractors and the locations of the projects.
