The Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission has said the suits instituted against it on the usage of card readers and administrative fees will not cause the postponement of the local government election in the state scheduled for July 22, 2017.
The Chairman, LASIEC, Justice Ayotunde Phillips (retd.), stated this on Friday at a meeting with chairmen and secretaries of political parties, as well as their candidates for the election.
She said, “If the court orders that card readers must be used for the conduct of the election, it means that we will have to go back to the drawing board.
