A former Governor of Plateau State, Senator Joshua Dariye, has begun fresh moves to quash his fraud case in court, accusing the trial judge, Justice Adebukola Banjoko of ‘undisguised bias.’
Dariye is currently facing 23 charges before a Federal Capital Territory, FCT High Court, Gudu, for allegedly diverting N1.162bn during his tenure as governor between 1999 and 2007.
The ex-governor, who currently represents Plateau-Central senatorial district, is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, for allegedly diverting N1.162bn from the state’s Ecological Fund, to private companies and individuals.
