EFCC re-arraigns Dasuki, Bafarawa for diversion of N13bn arms fund

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Tuesday re-arraigned the immediate-past National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd), and his co-accused, before a High Court of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Maitama.
The accused persons, including a former governor of Sokoto State, Attahiru Bafarawa, and his son, Sagir, were re-arraigned before Justice Baba Yusuf on 22 counts involving alleged diversion of N13bn said to have been meant for purchase of arms.
Others named in the case as accused persons are a former Director of Finance and Administration in the Office of the NSA, Shuaibu Salisu, a former Minister of State for Finance, Bashir Yuguda as well as Sagir’s firm,  Dalhatu Investment.
Dasuki was produced in court for the re-arraignment on Tuesday from the custody of the Department of State Service, where he had been remanded for over one year despite meeting his bail conditions.
