EFCC recovered N29bn from whistle-blower tips —Magu

The acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu, says the EFCC has recovered at least N29bn based on tips from whistle-blowers.

He, therefore, urged Nigerians to continue to help in the fight against corruption by providing information to the anti-corruption agencies.

Magu said this on Thursday in Abuja during the unveiling of Corruption Anonymous — a whistle-blower support project.

The launch was organised by the Africa Centre for Media and Information Literacy, with the active collaboration of relevant stakeholders including the EFCC, to give momentum to whistle-blower initiative of the Federal Government, which is already yielding positive results as a strategic tool in the efforts to reduce corruption in the country.
