The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has rejected the judgment of the Court of Appeal which quashed the 14 corruption charges it filed against a serving judge of the Federal High Court, Justice Hyeladzira Nganjiwa.
The anti-graft agency has approached the Supreme Court seeking to overturn the appellate court’s judgment and restore the charges against the judge.
The EFCC accused the judge of receiving a total of $260,000 and N8.65m gratification to enrich himself as a public official.
The anti-graft agency arraigned Justice Nganjiwa on June 23, 2017 before the Lagos State High Court in Igbosere.
