The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities has called on the Federal Government to suspend vice-chancellors of universities who are facing corruption prosecution.
SSANU said that the decision of the Federal Government to force judges being prosecuted for alleged corruption to step down from their offices while allowing accused vice-chancellors to preside over the affairs of universities amounted to double standards inimical to the fight against corruption.
The association’s call was contained in a communiqué issued at the end of its National Executive Council meeting held at the Federal University, Kashere, Gombe.
