The Presidency on Thursday said there was no truth in reports alleging mismanagement of the N500bn budgeted in the 2016 Budget for the Social Investment Programmes.
It also denied the claims that the programmes were designed to marginalise a section of the country.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Vice-President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Laolu Akande, stated this in a statement made available to journalists in Abuja.
He was reacting to media reports of a recent debate and resolution on a motion in the Senate, titled, “The need to avoid the mismanagement of the N500bn Social Intervention Funds.”
