Less than one week after a warrant of arrest was issued against 30 chief executive officers of companies for failing to appear before a Senate probe panel, the Chairman of the Senate Joint Committee on Customs, Excise and Tariff, and Marine Transport, Hope Uzodinma, on Wednesday said the affected executives had appeared before the committee’s panel.
Uzodinma also said some of the 63 companies accused of complicity in the fraud amounting to N30tn in the export and import value chain of Nigeria had admitted their involvement.
The committee had on Friday asked the Nigeria Police to arrest 30 CEOs who failed to answer the summons by the panel.
