Kano State House of Assembly on Wednesday constituted an eight-man committee to probe the Emir of Kano, Mallam Muhammadu Sanusi, over alleged misappropriation of funds belonging to the emirate council.
The allegation was brought before the Assembly by a member representing Nasarawa Local Government Area, Alhaji Ibrahim Gama, who raised a motion of urgent public importance.
Gama, it was learnt, expressed resentment over the recent comment credited to the emir, which focused on the proposed Kano light rail project to be executed by the Governor Abdullahi Ganduje-led administration.
