Ladoja’s trial: I didn’t disobey court order, says Oyo AG

The Oyo State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Oluwaseun Abimbola, has said he did not receive any subpoena to appear before the Federal High Court in Lagos where a former Oyo State Governor, Rashidi Ladoja, is being prosecuted for an alleged N4.7bn fraud.

Abimbola said had he received the subpoena, he would not have hesitated to appear before Justice Mohammed Idris who issued it, especially as Oyo State Government is the complainant in Ladoja’s case.

The attorney general’s message was conveyed to the court on Thursday by a senior counsel in the Oyo State Ministry of Justice, Olusola Orobode.
