Lagos insists on accountability, transparency

The Lagos State Government says it will not back down in ensuring that the state workforce, especially directors in the state public service, embrace accountability and transparency in the discharge of their duties.

The Chairman, Lagos State Local Government Service Commission, Alhaji Babatunde Rotinwa, spoke at the opening of a 10-week orientation and specialised training for newly redeployed management staff from the 57 local government and local council development areas and the mainstream public service, at the Public Service Staff Development Centre, Magodo, on Monday.

He said the 37 directors and deputy directors must embrace accountability and transparency, shun monopoly of knowledge and imbibe the practice of wide consultation.
