LASIEC urges Lagosians to get voter cards

The Chairman of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), Justice Ayotunde Phillips (retd.), on Tuesday told registered voters to collect their permanent voter cards in order to cast their votes in the elections into the 57 local government areas and local council development areas of the state.

Phillips, who made the call while speaking at the Civic Populace Stakeholders’ forum organised as part of civic education programme of the commission, also reminded eligible voters, who had yet to register, to do so with the Independent National Electoral Commission.

She said, “LASIEC has received the soft copy of the register of voters for Lagos from INEC and we have started printing the register in preparation for the LGA elections.”
