A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Maitama in Abuja, on Friday fixed March 2 for hearing of an application by the detained former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.), seeking the consolidation of two sets of charges preferred against him and others by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
In one set of 22 counts, the EFCC accused Dasuki, a former governor of Sokoto State, Attahiru Bafarawa; his son, Sagir Bafarawa, and others of allegedly diverting the sum of N13bn said to have been meant for the purchase of arms.
Others named in the case as accused persons were a former Director of Finance and Administration in the Office of the NSA, Shuaibu Salisu; a former Minister of State for Finance, Bashir Yuguda, and Sagir’s firm, Dalhatu Investment.
