* Sagay, CACOL Back Acting President
Acting President Yemi Osinbajo on Thursday seemed to have dared the Senate when he said nobody can remove Ibrahim Magu as EFCC chairman, noting that President Muhammadu Buhari has resolved to work with Magu to stamp out endemic corruption in the country.
Osinbajo, who spoke at the inauguration of the Kaduna office of the anti-graft agency on Thursday, said that those who think that they were winning in fighting back against the government’s war on corruption should wake up.
The Senate had on Tuesday asked Acting President Yemi Osinbajo to learn to respect parliamentary decisions or risk being impeached.
It was particularly angry that the acting president masterminded the retention of Magu in office as chairman of EFCC against his rejection by the Senate while at the same time expecting the Senate to confirm other nominees for some other positions.
