The Lagos State Government on Wednesday asked residents of the state not to rent or live in buildings that did not have the approval of the state government.
The General Manager of the Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority, LASPPPA, Mr. Remi Oni-Orisan, stated this during the monitoring of structures in the Alimosho Local Government Area, adding that the call was meant to ensure the safety of lives and property.
He said, “Most building owners refused to get approval through which we guarantee structures’ safety for habitation.
“We are using this opportunity to warn members of the public not to occupy structures that are not certified by the government. Developers too must stop endangering the lives of the residents.
