The House of Representatives Committee on Basic Education and other Services on Monday hailed Lagos State and Governor Akinwunmi Ambode for quality schools infrastructure.
The Chairman of the committee, Zakari Muhammed, stated this during a visit to the deputy governor at the Round House, Alausa, Ikeja.
Muhammed, who said the committee was on an inspection tour of various projects executed under the State Universal Basic Education (SUBEB) across the country, added that the committee was satisfied with the quality of materials used in most of the schools visited.
The lawmaker, who noted that sustainable growth in education could only be achieved when conducive learning environment was provided, commended the state government for the use of metal windows in all the schools visited.
