The Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee against Corruption, Prof. Itse Sagay (SAN), and the Country Officer of the Open Society Initiative for West Africa, Udo Ilo, on Thursday, disagreed openly over the recent protests used by the civil society to call for good governance in the country.
The disagreement occurred at the opening ceremony of a two-day national dialogue on corruption organised by PACAC at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Sagay had, in his opening remarks, taken a swipe at the protesters whom he said were demonstrating against the hardship brought upon the nation “by the very mentors and sponsors of the so-called demonstrators.”
