The first female Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Chief Folake Solanke, has called on the Federal Government to establish a registry for recovered national assets which will from time to time publish information on the amount of stolen loot and goods recovered and what the money was used for.
Solanke said this during a ceremony held to mark her 85th birthday in Ibadan.
She said that at the moment, Nigerians were unaware of information about how much was recovered and what the money had been used for, adding that there was the need for the government to exhibit accountability, transparency and integrity in the fight against corruption.
